Description

Vista Verde Middle School blends strong academics with real world preparation through a schedule that includes Advisory and SEL, WINsday for Wednesday Tier 2 support on grade level standards, and pathways that stretch well beyond the core. Students can pursue Jr. Scholars with an AP Readiness focus, accelerated math through Algebra 1, and high school credit Spanish I, II, and III, while still learning in heterogeneous teams supported by weekly PLC work and common formative assessments. A deep college going culture comes alive through AVID schoolwide WICOR strategies, College Kickoff Week, PSAT for 8th graders, and an exemplar ACT experience for 7th graders. Electives are a major highlight, with CTE Connections courses such as Robotics and Drones, Agriscience, Sports Medicine, Audio Tech, Video Production, and Yearbook and Photography, plus zero period Marching Band and PE credit through Dance and Band. Student life is active with WEB mentoring, PACK expectations and PBIS rewards, sports, VAPA, and academies from BSU to Esports. It is a school where purpose, pride, and opportunity show up every day.
