Description
Edgewood Middle School places students in the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme starting in sixth grade, building confident learners who connect subjects through global contexts, concepts, and strong approaches to learning. In MYP classrooms, students are at the center of learning, complete varied assessments, study a required world language, and work toward a personal project that can take the form of an essay or artistic production. Arts are a standout, with Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced band options, four choir ensembles including Concert Choir and Encore show choir, and a dance program that includes Dance Performance I and II. After school, the YMCA supported Y ASES program provides homework support plus health and fitness activities. It is a school community where high expectations and creativity grow side by side.
