International School of Monterey

International School of Monterey serves grades 6 through 8 with the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, where students learn through concept based units of inquiry that connect English language arts, mathematics, science, and humanities. Teachers plan interdisciplinary projects so students practice research, writing, and problem solving across subjects while using global contexts such as identities and relationships, fairness and development, and scientific and technical innovation to frame big questions. Spanish is a core part of the program, alongside the arts and physical education, so students grow as communicators and creators as well as strong scholars.
