Description

Bernice Ayer Middle School serves sixth through eighth grade students through a collaborative academic culture where creativity, data driven instruction, and high expectations support achievement for all learners. As one of the few Dual Immersion middle schools in Capistrano Unified School District, BAMS offers Spanish Language Arts and Spanish taught Social Studies alongside a full middle grades program in English Language Arts, mathematics, science, physical education, and electives. Students build confidence and connection through ASB, PAL, WEB, choir, drama, yearbook, video production, band, and orchestra, while the school motto, Be Ready, Act Respectfully, Make Good Decisions, Show Integrity, reinforces shared expectations across campus. With about 900 students and a strong focus on academic, social, and emotional growth, BAMS offers a spirited community where students are challenged, supported, and known.
