Description
Stevenson Middle School centers learning on a block schedule that gives students sustained time for reading and writing workshops, labs, and collaboration in English language arts, math, science, and social studies, plus a built in MTSS intervention block four days a week for targeted Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports. Students rotate between a 75 minute encore or PE block on an A B schedule, and Tuesdays feature advisory with SEL during an early release day for staff learning. Electives broaden year to year choice with art, music, drama, STEM, global awareness, Spanish, plus Thrive and English intervention for identified students. A strong Kid Day process uses the TABS framework, Truancy, Academics, Behavior, Social Emotional, alongside MAP, iXL, and progress monitoring to coordinate supports. Dual language and robust ESL services, PBIS and restorative practices, and clubs like SeaPerch underwater robotics and Pirate Leadership keep students connected. Families can expect a steady team culture that helps every learner grow with confidence and purpose.
