Description
Olmstead Elementary School is a PreK through 8 community with a long Schools to Watch tradition and a middle grades program built for strong relationships and steady growth. Students in grades 6 through 8 learn in eight periods Monday through Thursday with flexible block scheduling, including double block English language arts and math plus single period science and social studies, and a daily MTSS period that adds up to about seventy minutes of reading and math intervention. Specials rotate every three weeks through guidance, PE, library, music, STEAM, and agriculture STEM, and early release Fridays include core instruction plus homeroom SEL and RAMS reward time. iReady diagnostics three times a year guide PLC goal setting and fluid regrouping, while clubs like cooking, chess, criminal investigation, and sign language build belonging. Rambassadors lead service projects and school events, and Positive Office Referrals highlight district Profile of Success traits each week. Families can count on a supportive team that celebrates effort, character, and real world learning every day.
