Description

Mountain View Middle School blends academic excellence, character development, and social emotional learning within a close and supportive community for students in grades 5 through 8. Recognized for the fifth time as a New Jersey School to Watch, the school demonstrates a sustained commitment to rigorous instruction and responsive middle level practices. Small class sizes help educators know students well, personalize support, and encourage meaningful participation. A Gifted and Talented program provides advanced learning opportunities, while collaborative experiences strengthen critical thinking, creativity, and communication. Programs such as One Book, One School bring students and families together through shared reading and thoughtful discussion. Strong attendance and high achievement in mathematics and reading reflect an engaged community that values learning, relationships, and continuous growth. Mountain View is a joyful place where every learner is known, challenged, and celebrated.
