Richard M. Teitelman Middle School delivers a focused grades 7 and 8 experience built around a six period day and a flexible Period 6 that functions as an intervention and extension block. Students can meet any teacher for extra help join support classes or access counseling services. Academic programs include Project Lead the Way Gateway courses such as Computer Science for Innovators and Makers and Automation and Robotics using VEX robotics plus Intro to Computer Science and Spanish options including Spanish 1. Advisory Homeroom stays with students for two years building strong relationships and quick mini lessons on organization and readiness for high school. Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports reinforces Tiger Traits and students find calm support in the Tiger Den and Wellness Club.
