Description

Oak Avenue Intermediate School is a diverse and multilingual community where academic rigor, belonging, and social emotional learning are intentionally connected. Students experience a dynamic school day with a dedicated weekly intervention and enrichment block, along with a structured SEL period supported by PAWS lessons. A rich elective program gives students room to explore STEAM, journalism, orchestra, and film studies, while experiences such as Astro Camp, Pali Institute, and international travel to Costa Rica extend learning beyond the classroom. Oak Avenue also builds a positive campus culture through Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, recognized with multiple Platinum Awards. Students lead through ASB and PBIS Leadership, while clubs, athletics, competition teams, weekly PLC collaboration, and data driven instruction keep support responsive. Oak Avenue is a vibrant place where students grow as learners and leaders.
