HighTech LA Middle School

HighTech LA Middle School serves grades 6 through 8 with an academically challenging college prep program built around inquiry and interdisciplinary units. Students study English language arts, mathematics, science, and history while making cross curriculum connections that are reinforced through an acclaimed art program and regular opportunities for physical movement. Support structures include reading and math intervention courses, a school wide advisory system, co teaching when needed, and daily tutoring offered in the morning from 745 to 845 and in the afternoon from 3 to 4. Each student is issued a laptop to use during the school year. A signature tradition is Presentation of Learning held twice yearly, where students deliver concise oral reports to a panel of teachers and parents. Families can expect a focused community that celebrates growth and hard work.
