Description
Heber School creates a focused and supportive middle grades experience with clear schedules, strong intervention time, and meaningful student leadership. Students in grades five and six learn in self contained classrooms with daily ELA, writing, math, and rotating science and history, plus i Ready practice and Pride Time social emotional learning built into the week. In grades seven and eight, students move through a full period day that includes core classes, electives and CTE, ELA and math support, designated ELD, and a weekly college and career and SEL block supported through the Launch Pad structure. English learners receive daily designated ELD, a newcomers program, and small group language development guided by an English learner TOSA. Enrichment is energetic and hands on through STEM sessions, a lunchtime STEM room, esports, drumline, orchestra, clubs, athletics, and schoolwide celebrations like National History Day, science fair, and career day. Families are seen as true partners in student success.
