South Orangetown Middle School combines rigorous academics, creative exploration, and strong character development to help students discover their strengths. The Program of Studies includes Challenge Lab, podcasting, Research and Debate, Writing Experience, Service Studio, technology, business, world languages, art, and music. Students deepen collaboration and communication through book clubs, writing workshops, laboratory learning, and hands on projects. An extensive extracurricular program features Robotics Club, Science Olympiad, Math Club, Digital Media, Movie Making, Drama, Student Council, National Junior Honor Society, and athletics. Character Education and Skills for Success strengthen responsibility, resilience, organization, and positive decision making. Through broad course choices and meaningful opportunities for leadership and service, students build confidence and prepare for future learning.
