Description
Wayside Middle School blends strong academics with many ways to belong. Core classes in English language arts and reading, mathematics, science, and social studies are supported by targeted intervention and teacher teams that review progress and reteach key skills. Students can build study habits through AVID and academic confidence through Academic UIL, with leadership options in National Junior Honor Society and Student Council. Fine arts are a highlight, with band starting in sixth grade and advanced ensembles that prepare for UIL performance, plus choir, theatre, and visual arts for creative growth. Athletics include cross country, football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, tennis, track and field, cheer, and gymnastics. Families will find a steady focus on learning, character, and pride in every classroom.
