Description
Northley Middle School blends strong academics with an intentional schedule designed to give students extra time for learning every day. Students learn on two teams per grade in an eight period day with a rotating five day cycle that includes a double morning block and a weekly extra block for each core course, where intervention and extension take place. Daily courses include reading, writing, math, science, and social studies, with options such as Gifted Seminar, band, and chorus, plus related arts rotations in STEM, art, music, and communications. Supports are responsive and data driven, using co teaching, paraprofessional support, direct instruction, and targeted pull out during the daily block period, with frequent progress monitoring. Students connect through Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, Viking Crew advisory, student led conferences, and a wide club and athletics program that includes SeaPerch Robotics, TV Studio, Science Olympiad, Reading Olympics, and more, with a late bus to expand access. Families will find a school that builds belonging while helping students stretch and succeed.
