Description

Bell Intermediate School blends high expectations with thoughtful support for seventh and eighth grade learners. Schoolwide instruction emphasizes gradual release of responsibility, literacy across content areas, essential questions, Cornell notes, thinking maps, close reading, and structured academic language. AVID strategies are used across campus, and 20 percent of students in each grade level participate in AVID. Students can explore CTE STEAM Automation and Robotics, CTE STEAM Design and Modeling, Medical Detectives, Drama, Journalism and Yearbook, Spanish 1 P, Student Government, Beginning Band, Modern Band, Advanced Strings, Advanced Mixed Chorus, Drawing and Painting, Photography, Discovery Science, and Keyboarding. The school also supports students through companion English and math classes, college tutors, English learner support, Bell Buddies, and a Lunch Bunch sanctuary. Bell is a caring, energized community where Roadrunners are supported to learn, connect, and lead.
