James Workman Middle School

James Workman Middle School builds strong middle grades learning with a clear focus on college and career readiness and active student involvement. The AVID program anchors this work through collaborative tutorials, organization and study routines, college and career research, and college field trips that help students plan future goals. Students can plug into a wide set of clubs and programs including California Junior Scholarship Federation, Debate and Law Club, S.T.A.R.T., Science Club, Vocal Academy, and Esports Club, plus intramural sports. Music offerings are especially robust with Beginning Band, Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, Vocal Academy, and Strings Academy, giving students multiple pathways to perform and grow. Families will find a steady, student centered community that celebrates progress and effort each day.
