Jefferson Middle School provides a well balanced middle grades experience built around an eight period day with a rotating schedule that protects access to music physical education and team time while keeping learning consistent across the week. Sixth and seventh graders study literature and English as separate courses along with honors or academic math science and social studies plus a unified arts rotation that includes art health business and information technology technology education and family and consumer science. Students also begin a world language pathway in Spanish French or German and choose band orchestra or chorus. In eighth grade students take honors or academic Algebra 1 conceptual physics US history and a combined language arts course while adding enrichment electives such as technology and engineering information technology family and consumer science or art. Tuesday Talk lessons strengthen PBIS social emotional learning and executive functioning and students connect through clubs drama coding service projects and schoolwide events like canteen day and operation Montserrat.
