Description

University Heights Middle School creates a supportive and academically focused experience through cross curricular teams that help teachers coordinate expectations, monitor progress, and design connected learning across subjects. Students can pursue AVID, Dual Language Immersion, Coding, Television Production, Robotics, and visual and performing arts courses including Theatre, Art, Choir, Band, Dance, and Photography. Applied Computer Sciences introduces students to coding for apps, games, cybersecurity, and websites using languages such as HTML, PHP, C Sharp, Python, and JavaScript. Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports provides a strong framework for school climate, earning statewide Platinum recognition for the 2024 and 2025 school year. Counseling groups, academic intervention, the Where Everyone Belongs program, and PRIMETime after school programming extend support beyond the classroom. University Heights Middle School is a caring community where students can discover their strengths, build meaningful connections, and grow with confidence.
