Pleasant View West School blends strong academics with an innovative co teaching model where two or three teachers share one large learning space at each grade level. Students study English language arts mathematics science social studies history physical education and daily Designated English Language Development with a flexible schedule that protects time for targeted support. Every student receives Targeted Reading Instruction for 45 minutes each day using Reciprocal Reading strategies predicting summarizing clarifying and questioning and Targeted Math Instruction from 9 45 to 10 25 with skill groups early in the week and heterogeneous grade level work later in the week to close gaps and frontload new learning. Students build confidence through project based learning supported by Wonder Sessions and tools like Inkwire and Mosaico that track milestones portfolios and progress. Expanded learning opportunities add energy with Folklorico piano theater business STEAM entrepreneurship soccer cooking fishing softball and Bailoterapia plus hands on technology and agriculture with Wings of Knowledge.
