Prairie Vista Middle School offers a strong seven period day with clear academic pathways and a vibrant Fine Arts Academy that helps students find their voice. Students take language arts math NGSS integrated science history social studies and physical education with health integrated plus supports like Language Arts Support and leveled Math Success Labs and College Readiness. Academic intervention is driven by CAASPP IABs iReady and unit assessments with Lexia PowerUp in Language Arts Support and Nextgen Math or IXL in Math Success Lab classes supported by full time literacy and math coaches who model lessons and lead data cycles. Students connect through exploratory courses like introduction to piano music art dance theater choir and Spanish and advanced options in dance band orchestra piano and visual arts plus MESA and student council. The campus builds belonging through OLWEUS Second Step Capturing Kids Hearts WEB mentoring and PBIS rewards and families engage through Literacy Night Math Night Family Fitness Night and MESA Night.
