The STEAM Academy at Burke

The STEAM Academy at Burke is a magnet middle school built on a seven period day that gives students both a strong academic core and room to explore. Each year, every student takes two electives, creating clear STEAM focused pathways that blend the arts, world languages, leadership, and hands on technical courses like robotics, app creation, computer science, and Project Lead the Way. To keep learning moving forward, the school has added full time math and ELA interventionists who provide tiered push in and pull out support alongside i Ready MyPath goal setting and progress monitoring. A digital Jaguar Bucks system reinforces the 3Rs, Jaguars are Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn, with added supports like Check In Check Out and Self and Match to build reflection and accountability. Student well being is strengthened through a new Wellness Center, restorative justice support, and peer mediation. We are proud to support every Jaguar as they grow into confident thinkers and creators.
