Description

Piedmont Middle School creates a dynamic middle grades experience where structure and flexibility work together to support every learner. A modified block schedule and Academy period give students regular time for enrichment, targeted support, and community building within the school day. The Academy program includes intervention, extension, check ins, and student led connections, helping students stay supported while remaining engaged in core learning. Academic supports such as Math Lab, Study Skills, the Learning Burst model, a dedicated Reading Specialist, and counseling services add timely layers of help. Students also explore electives in band, drama, broadcast, and makerspace experiences, while Safe School Ambassadors and Associated Student Body build leadership and voice. Traditions such as the Medieval Banquet, Speech Festival, and sea kayaking trips make learning memorable and connected. Piedmont is a thoughtful and engaging place where students are known and encouraged.
