Description

Rogers Herr Middle School centers learning and belonging around Rams ROCK, Respect, Ownership, Character, and Knowledge, with structures that support both strong academics and student identity. Students follow a seven period day with daily core classes in English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, plus electives such as art, band, orchestra, PE and health, world languages, STEM, and career exploration. A signature Discovery period meets every day to build social emotional learning, community, and leadership, making it a defining part of the school experience. MTSS uses progress monitoring with tools like iReady and Reading Plus to target reading, math, and writing supports without pulling students from enrichment. Students connect through a wide club program including MathCounts, Science Olympiad, Battle of the Books, NJHS, Student Ambassadors, CTSO Ram Innovators, We Are Queens, We Are Kings, Our Heritage, GSA, and the Kind Kitchen Group, alongside athletics like soccer, football, volleyball, basketball, track, cheerleading, and lacrosse. Restorative practices keep discipline focused on reflection and repair while maintaining a safe learning environment. Families can expect a welcoming culture where every Ram Scholar is known, challenged, and celebrated.
