Morris Middle School

Morris Middle School builds academic strength through a Solution Tree Professional Learning Community model where collaborative content teams plan units deconstruct standards create common assessments and use item analysis to target misconceptions. A 60 minute core schedule supports strong instruction plus built in Tier 2 and Tier 3 intervention through enrichment blocks reading based social studies and specialized intervention teachers who pull small groups using MAP STAAR and common assessment data. Students can enroll in advanced math and reading and multilingual learners are supported by bilingual and ESL certified teachers using Ellevation and TELPAS Tuesday practice. Student support includes MTSS meetings every six weeks and programs such as ABLE 1 SUCCESS life skills and BSS for emotional needs. Students connect through Student Council National Elementary Honor Society UIL Running Club Chess and Sustainable Science plus band choir orchestra and art. Families can expect a caring campus where high expectations and belonging go hand in hand.
