Cherokee Middle School

Cherokee Middle School is a dynamic campus where strong systems, student voice, and meaningful opportunities create an engaging middle school experience. Students benefit from an eight period schedule that includes double blocked time in math and English, allowing for deeper learning and embedded intervention. A weekly homeroom period provides time for Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports lessons and targeted academic support, helping students build both academic skills and positive habits. Student Council and Student Ambassadors give learners a voice in shaping campus culture, while NJHS, athletics, and a wide variety of clubs encourage involvement and personal growth. Students are also empowered to propose and create new clubs, building ownership and initiative. Tribe Treats and student led recycling provide real world learning experiences. Cherokee Middle School is a welcoming place where students are supported, included, and inspired.
