Description

Carl H Kumpf Middle School serves grades 6 through 8 with a strong focus on readying students for high school level expectations. Students take core courses in English language arts, math, science, and social studies, supported by structured intervention time for reading and math skill building. Many classes use collaborative routines like interdisciplinary teams, common assessments, and goal setting conferences to keep learning on track. STEM learning is strengthened through lab investigations, coding challenges, and hands on design projects that emphasize problem solving. Students can build confidence and community through band, choir, art, theater, and a variety of clubs and athletics. Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports and restorative practices reinforce respectful classrooms and steady routines. It is a place where students are known, supported, and celebrated.
