Description

East Yancey Middle School serves grades 6, 7, and 8 with a strong focus on core academics and active learning. Project Lead The Way courses bring engineering design and problem solving into the day, and Gifted and Talented services add stretch for students ready for deeper challenge. Students can sharpen skills through Math Counts, build leadership in FBLA, and create lasting memories with yearbook. Enrichment extends beyond class with club day favorites like piano club, quilting club, mountain biking, and animals of Appalachia. The band program keeps music thriving with performances and growing resources, and athletics such as volleyball and wrestling build teamwork and school pride. A caring staff keeps expectations clear and support steady. We look forward to celebrating every Panther success, big and small.
