Description

Silas Bartsch Middle School supports early adolescents with interdisciplinary teams, daily advisory, and clear routines that build organization and confidence. Students strengthen reading and writing through workshop lessons, close reading, and writing from evidence, while math classes emphasize number sense, problem solving, and targeted small group reteaching. Science learning includes lab investigations, data analysis, and engineering design challenges that connect to real world questions, and social studies builds research skills with primary sources and presentations. Electives expand student choice through art, band, choir, theater, and technology experiences that introduce basic coding and digital citizenship. Academic support includes intervention blocks, multilingual learner services, and co teaching when needed. Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports and restorative practices reinforce a respectful climate. Families can expect steady care, high expectations, and meaningful growth each day.
