Description

John L. Compton Junior High School serves grades 7 and 8 with a strong focus on academic growth and whole child support in a safe structured setting first opened in 1960. Students build skills in English language arts math science and history and can extend learning through Gifted and Talented Education opportunities and Project Lead The Way STEM coursework that brings engineering and problem solving into the school day. The campus also emphasizes student support with counseling and mental health resources plus active parent advisory groups that help guide school goals. Schoolwide events like Career Day connect learning to real world pathways and help students see options for the future. School spirit runs strong with the Mighty Colts community and meaningful recognition for progress and effort. Families can expect a steady encouraging environment where students are known and supported.
