Thomas S. Hart Middle School is a Schools to Watch campus where culture craft and essential standards shape daily learning and student support. An eight period schedule with an optional zero period helps students access intervention lab classes and electives, and daily student broadcasts build a strong sense of community. Teachers work in a Professional Learning Community, using weekly collaboration and common assessments to plan ACCESS time twice a week for reteach retest guided study and enrichment. A clear MTSS system includes COST meetings, an Intervention Team process, and Tier 3 supports like Math Skills Reading Skills Academic Support and AVID tutorials. Students learn through Writer Workshop in ELA, GO MATH placement pathways, Amplify Science labs, and history thinking using GRAPES and primary sources.
