Basalt Middle School

Basalt Middle School serves grades 6 through 8 with a steady focus on reading, writing, math reasoning, lab based science, and social studies inquiry. Students shape their schedules with specials such as Band, Choir, Art, STEM, PE, and Spanish Language Arts, building both skill and confidence. STEM projects highlight design challenges and data collection, while music ensembles rehearse and perform throughout the year. Teachers use clear learning targets, discussion protocols, and revision cycles so students learn how to improve their work. Counselors and staff support organization, goal setting, and healthy peer relationships. Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports reinforces shared expectations and recognizes positive citizenship.
