Description

Oceanside Middle School builds confident learners through interdisciplinary teams and a daily advisory that supports organization and goal setting. English language arts features close reading and writing from evidence, math emphasizes problem solving and algebra readiness, science includes lab investigations and data analysis, and social studies uses primary sources and research projects. Students choose world language and expand interests through beginner band and orchestra, chorus, and art. In grade 8 elective pathways may include Living Environment for high school credit, Studio in Art, Theater Exploration, Science Research, App Creation, Virtual Enterprise, and Music Theory. Counselors and support teachers provide ENL services, academic intervention, and special education supports through small groups and co teaching. Families will find caring adults who notice progress and celebrate each students strengths.
