Description
Selma Middle School supports early adolescents with interdisciplinary teams, a daily advisory period, and consistent routines that help students organize work and set goals. Core classes in English language arts, math, science, and social studies use workshop lessons, close reading, discussion protocols, and project based tasks that strengthen writing, reasoning, and problem solving. Students extend learning through a STEM and technology rotation focused on design challenges, basic coding, and data analysis, along with electives such as art, band, chorus, and theater. Academic intervention, English learner services, and special education supports are delivered through small group instruction and co teaching. The school culture is grounded in Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports and restorative practices that build respect and responsibility. Families will find a steady, encouraging community where students are known and celebrated.
