Wantagh Middle School supports young adolescents through small multigrade advisory groups of up to 15, interdisciplinary teams and a guidance curriculum that builds study habits and social emotional skills. Core classes are strengthened by ENL services and Academic Intervention Services in reading and math, plus Wilson Supportive Reading. Students explore French, Italian or Spanish, then personalize schedules with wheel courses like Business Computers, Home and Careers, and Introduction to Technology Education. Electives expand creativity and problem solving through Intro to Game Design, Broadcasting, Podcasting, Sustainable Agriculture, Ultimate Chef, Pixels and Pics Digital Art and Photography, and PLTW Automation and Robots. Band, orchestra, chorus and Early Bird Chorus keep music thriving, while Drama Club brings a full musical to life and honor societies celebrate achievement.
