Description

Valley Middle School supports grades 6 through 8 with interdisciplinary teams, a daily advisory period, and clear routines that help students plan, reflect, and build strong study habits. English language arts emphasizes close reading, academic vocabulary, and writing from evidence, while math blends skill practice with multi step problem solving and math talks. Science classes use lab investigations, data notebooks, and engineering design challenges, and social studies builds research skills through primary sources and short presentations. Students explore electives such as art, band, chorus, theater, and a technology rotation that introduces digital citizenship and basic coding. Targeted support includes small group intervention, counseling, and services for multilingual learners and students with learning plans. Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports and restorative practices reinforce respect and responsibility. Families can count on steady care and high expectations every day.
