Dr. Augustine Ramirez Intermediate School is a vibrant and academically focused school where students are encouraged to lead, achieve, and make meaningful connections. A well rounded seven period day provides access to a wide variety of electives, including visual arts, digital photography, video production, computer science, Spanish, Mandarin, Speech and Debate, band, and choir, while programs such as AVID, ASB, WEB, Renaissance, and Umoja help students develop leadership skills and a strong sense of belonging. The school is especially known for its signature programs, including WEB, where eighth grade students mentor and support younger peers, and Renaissance, which celebrates academic growth, improvement, and positive character. Ramirez Rumble, a Golden Bell award winning initiative, strengthens social and emotional learning through activities that build empathy, connectedness, and school pride. Supported by a strong Multi Tiered System of Supports, Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports Gold recognition, a wellness room, literacy supports, and dedicated math intervention, students receive both challenge and care.
