Willard Middle School blends high expectations with strong relationships in a large school that works hard to feel small through interdisciplinary teams and a daily advisory called CLAWS Club focused on character leadership attitude work ethic and service. Students learn on an A B alternating block schedule with 81 minute classes and goal setting executive functioning and SEL built into advisory along with a schoolwide planner routine. Academic collaboration is powered by Solution Tree PLC at Work structures including Collaborative Learning Teams and a guiding coalition so teachers design common assessments analyze data and plan tiered supports. Course options are wide and ambitious including Algebra 1 Geometry Algebra 2 Trig honors English and science multiple world languages German Latin Spanish and French plus drama guitar computer science foundations and robotics.
