Description
Jack London Middle School delivers a balanced day where every student studies language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies in daily fifty one minute blocks, then builds connection and support in a forty minute Homebase that blends SEL, team building, and academic interventions. Exploratory rotations bring hands on learning through Art, Music, Drama, Project Lead the Way, Consumer and Career Choices, Global Awareness, Physical Education, with Spanish and Spanish for Spanish Speakers beginning in seventh grade. A strong MTSS system uses STAR data to set goals and adjust flexible groups, with CHiL and Homework Club extending help beyond class. Multilingual learners benefit from tiered supports including Newcomers, Instructional Language Arts, co taught ELA, and ACCESS Boot Camp. Inclusive programs like the Academic Instructional Program and Education LifeSkills Program keep students engaged in Homebase and exploratories, while London Leaders, the Advisory to the Principal, clubs, arts, and new sports like badminton and boys volleyball build pride. Students are celebrated for growth, character, and leadership every step of the way.
