Description

Vista Heights Middle School delivers a globally focused and academically rigorous experience as an International Baccalaureate World School offering the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program to all students. Learners explore Spanish, French, Mandarin Chinese, visual and performing arts, design, STEAM, digital photography, band, choir, and modern band while building inquiry, creativity, and problem solving skills. The school is also an AVID National Demonstration School and AVID Site of Excellence, using WICOR strategies in Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading to strengthen college and career readiness. Gifted and Talented Education, Junior Scholars, athletics, clubs, special education, a Cyber Pathway, and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports provide additional opportunities and support.
