Northwood Middle School builds confident learners through a team based schedule that keeps students connected to a small set of teachers and a daily advisory that supports goal setting and organization. English language arts emphasizes close reading, structured discussion, and writing from evidence, while math focuses on problem solving routines, fluency practice, and real world applications. Science classes use lab investigations and data notebooks, and social studies strengthens research skills with primary sources and short presentations. Students explore electives such as robotics and coding, art and design, band, chorus, theater, and health and fitness. Academic support includes small group intervention, multilingual learner services, and co taught classes when needed.
