Description

Barker Road Middle School supports grades 6 through 8 with interdisciplinary teams that connect English, math, science, and social studies, plus a daily enrichment period for extra help, extension, and independent learning. Students explore hands on problem solving through Project Lead The Way pre engineering courses in grades 7 and 8. The WEB program pairs 8th grade leaders with incoming 6th graders to build belonging and strong study routines from the start. Music is a proud tradition, with band and orchestra options and select performance groups such as Select Chorus, Wind Ensemble, and Percussion Ensemble. Intramurals and clubs add teamwork and creative outlets beyond the classroom. Counselors provide individual support, small group lessons, and family conferences, and Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports reinforces clear expectations and respectful choices. Families can feel confident knowing students are known, challenged, and supported each day.
