Description
Dr Phinnize J Fisher Middle School delivers a STEAM focused program built around project based learning and true teaming so students move through core classes with a connected group of teachers. A daily FLEX period supports MTSS and enrichment while advisory and WIN time help students set goals and get targeted practice in reading math and study skills. Electives bring learning to life through Project Lead the Way units such as Medical Detectives Flight and Space and Energy and the Environment plus robotics engineering television production broadcast journalism and yearbook. Students also choose art chorus band strings theatre Spanish family and consumer science and videogaming as part of a full related arts schedule in a 7 period day. The culture feels purposeful energetic and supportive for every learner.
