La Joya Middle School builds a lively and supportive middle grades experience grounded in academic growth, student belonging, and collaborative leadership. Recognized as a Schools to Watch campus and a Promising Practices School, La Joya uses Professional Learning Communities to strengthen instruction and sustain student achievement. Students are supported through Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, Check In Check Out, self monitoring, student support groups, After School Intervention, and Academic Lunch Lab, creating clear pathways for both academic and personal success. With jazz band, color guard, band, 10 sports teams, 2 advanced learning programs, and a campus culture focused on continuous improvement, students have many ways to discover strengths and build confidence. La Joya is a warm and energetic school community where every learner is encouraged to grow with purpose and pride.
