Description

Melillo Middle School serves students in grades seven and eight with a focus on strong academics, organization, and student engagement. The school offers AVID to support college and career readiness, along with core instruction in English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies that emphasizes analytical thinking and collaboration. Students can participate in electives such as band, choir, art, and theater, as well as technology courses that may include digital media and introductory robotics. Advisory provides time for goal setting and connection, and interdisciplinary teams help create a cohesive learning experience. The school uses Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports and restorative practices to promote a respectful and supportive environment. Melillo Middle School fosters confident learners prepared for future success.
