Description
Ray Wiltsey Middle School is a Schools to Watch redesignating campus where academic support and student belonging are built into a seven period day. Every student takes core classes in English, math, history, science, and PE, plus an elective and a daily WIN period that serves as What I Need support through reading, math, ELD, AVID, or RSP. Students can stretch into honors courses in multiple subjects, earn high school credit through eighth grade honors math and Spanish I or Spanish II, and explore electives like band, orchestra, marching band, chorus, art, yearbook journalism, STEM robotics, and the nationally recognized History Day program. Progress is monitored through iReady diagnostics and data notebooks, with PLC common assessments and an SST cycle that builds plans with families and checks back in six weeks. Students connect through PAWS counseling support, monthly spirit weeks, festivals, PBIS assemblies, ASB lunchtime activities, clubs, and a full sports lineup. Families can feel the energy of a school that is Better Together for a Stronger Tomorrow.
