Deer Lakes Middle School

Deer Lakes Middle School serves about 400 students in grades 6 7 and 8 with a rigorous program in language arts mathematics science and social studies plus electives in art technology education stem computers connections and wellness. Students explore world languages with 7th grade options and Spanish and French as 8th grade electives. An Innovation Center supports hands on design and problem solving, and the school is recognized in the Schools to Watch program for strong middle grades practices. Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports and the Second Step bullying prevention lessons help build a respectful community, alongside Stand Together peer leadership that reduces mental health stigma.
